Hope you can attend the school this year!

We have a tremendous faculty and a wide assortment of classes.

As of today, the reel repair, breakdown and maintenance class that is offered by Chuck Brod and his colleagues at the Sportsmans Repair in Mosinee, WI are filled. This class was offered during all three time slots 9-10:30, 10:30- Noon and 1-2:30 but just became 100% filled up. Sorry, there are no more openings for those reel repair classes. Chuck and his team do such a good job, the word got out and is in high demand and filled up fast. However, there are many, many classes (over 30) that are still available.
A reminder: Rates go up after March 12th!! So get the early bird special at $32/adult. As long as we receive your registration and check on or before March 12th we will honor the $32 price. After that the cost is $42 and you can register at the door. Kids 18 and younger are only $5 and we encourage kids to attend. (FYI - For liability reasons and other reasons, we require an adult attend and supervise youth attendees at the school.)

Check out the program and we think you will find this to be an excellent way to get ready for the 2012 Muskie season!

Don't wait to long to get your class selections in. I had thought about attending a reel repair class but looks like I missed the boat this year. Thankfully there are plenty of quality classes left. Electronics’, pool demo and Green Bay will make up my day!

I will be doing a class on Pewaukee/Okauchee tactics. My PowerPoint is big enough to cover hours of information. I will again ask all my students what they are looking to get out if my class. Then I start my seminar with the info that best teaches my students what they are looking to learn. Then I keep working to get the best and most info out to the people who are looking to learn specific info, patterns, baits, and locations. I have more info packed into my PowerPoint than I could teach in a few classes.

Sign up and learn what it takes to catch multiple muskies consistently on pressured waters here in southeast Wisconsin.

This is a great school for a very inexpensive day. Food and instructors are top notch. Sign up and enjoy the day with us. Remember this is a Muskies Inc run school. The money goes to a great cause. MUSKIES!!!

Outstanding School. Participation broke a record again, and I had a great time!

At the end of the School, the young folks attending received a rod and reel compliments of the National Professional Anglers Association.

Thanks to everyone who worked on the 2012 School, it was excellent!

The school just keeps getting better and better every year. I was asked to help on a panel discussion but I politely declined. I didn't say no because I don't want to help, I did so because I really enjoy being a student. There are so many quality choices it is hard to pick which ones to attend.

Going to the Hanson/ Buechner pool demo would be worth the price of admission. Getting to see how Jeff works his baits is a real eye opening experience. One of these years I will go to Lee Tauchen's pool side demo, Lee really gets a huge crowd at the pool.

The three I chose this year were: Wisconsin musky stocking with Scott Stewert, fishing pressured muskies with Adam Oberfoell and Green Bay muskies with Kevin Friske. All three were outstanding. Scott is the fisheries manager in southern Wisconsin and he does an outstanding job. The relationship that we (CCMI) have with the WDNR should be a model that all musky clubs should have with their local DNR people. Those of you that fish our local lakes know how good our fishery is, none of it would of happened if it wasn't for the great relationship with have with Scott and his people. Adam is an excellent speaker who packs tons of info into his seminar, great job as always by Adam. I honestly didn't know who Kevin was before, man did I come away impressed with him. He did an unbelievable job, he had me pumped up to go try and put some hurt on those Green Bay fish.

I'm sorry I didn't get to see Lee's topwater seminar or the LOTW's talk by Matt DeVos, there is always next year.

Major props need to go out to 'Dean' Crandell and everybody who puts the time in to help. People thought the 'Dean' was nuts when he came up with the concept for this school. Geoff you should be very proud of what the school has grown into.

Yes it was a great time. Outstanding group of instructors like Kevin, Mike, Jeff et al. A BIG THANKS to all for helping out and making it a top notch school.

I had a small lunch hour leader class on single strand wire leader making (its also good for tying bucktail shafts) and I hope some got some useful tips from that. I did run out of my handouts yesterday, if you missed out (or would like one), I will gladly email a pdf format 2 page instructional sheet to anyone requesting it at [email protected]

Don't forget about the specials at the local sport shops (Dorn's Northgate and Midvale locations - 20% off all muskie baits through the end of March, D&S Bait Tackle and Archery 20% off all muskie tackle and rods through the end of March), and online orders at www.esoxassault.com 20% off using promo code "Muskies Inc" mention "muskie school" and 20% off phone/email orders of Echotails from Vibration Tackle [email protected] or 608-516-5339 till the end of March, Mentioning "muskie school"

This was my first time for the school. I was thoroughly impressed with it across the board. Absolutely a great day. The Capital City folks are as gracious hosts as you'll find anywhere. It's obvious that they put a ton of time and effort into providing a very complete experience. Love the fact that they request the attendees to fill out an evaluation form.

We are very thankful for the willingness of our instructors to work hard and do their very best to make this a quality program. The students definitely enjoyed the program based on the hundreds of evaluations that we have reviewed. A number of new classes have been requested for next year's muskie school. We will try our best to adjust and modify the school to respond to the requests & suggestions of our students.
It was very satisfying to see all those kids up on stage grinning ear to ear as they held onto their new rods & reels compliments of the NPAA. You could just tell that they were just itching to get out there and use their new fishing combos. With the 80 degree weather and new gear it seems like it is time to hit the water.

A lot of effort went into pulling this off and we appreciate the interest by all the anglers and the fine efforts by the staff, instructors, Waunakee High School, multiple vendors and many, many anglers who helped make this happen. It was wonderful that we had such enthusiasm and interest by muskies anglers who attended from a number of states.

If anyone who attended (or not) has any additional thoughts or suggestions for different classes or ways we could improve the school - please email us at (Geoff Crandall) [email protected] or Steve Reinstra at [email protected].
