Gillespie never ceases to amaze and entertain me. This weeks show was one of his best ever. You have writers, producers and actors getting millions and they don't compare to Gillespies natural ability. What a show!!![:p]

I wouldn't want to be in a boat with him without ear-plugs though!! LOL Man does he get excited when he hooks a musky or what? I saw him in one of Pete Maina's tapes about lures.

I thought the best show on was "Emerill Live". Looks like I don't get out much.....[:0]

What about the old show with Virgal Ward. Anyone one remember that one?

As far a footage is concerned....Bob M has the best fish footage out there.[:)]

I never missed an episode of Virgil Ward. If I'm not mistaken I believe it was the first weekly fishing specific show to run on network tv. Seems primitive compared to what we have today, but it was still something I looked forward to every week.

Boy do I remember Virgil Ward !!!!! if you remember though he was not a whole lot for catch and release he would always hold up a big stringer of bass at the end of the show!!! Im also going to credit him has the guy who really catapulted "ultra light" rods into the main stream he was the only known personality to use them

Virgil was great. I remember one time he got the boat hung up on a rock floating the peshtigo and gillespie had to get out of the boat and get them unstuck. Then they proceed to catch walleyes on buzz baits. It's just one of so many hilarious things they have done.

Dave Ehardt's wedding was hilarious. The bride in her gown catching fish, the pontoon boat wedding, gillespie in the middle of them during the cremony with that grin and eyes as big as silver dollars. Priceless entertainment!

Yesterday's show was an emotional rollercoaster ride! The loud flurry of "Big fish Pete!" blew out my left speaker on my TV. I must admit, John's Jerry Ford impersonation caused me to start cocktailing at 10:38am! The scene leading up to Big Dave's wedding was very reminiscent of a "Grumpier Old Men" scene. John and Dave are probably the luckiest/happiest two guys in Wisconsin.
