Location: MN | I have used these quite a bit as well. For the money they can be a decent reel. Much smaller gears and as you'd expect for the lower cost just not as precisely or well built, but will certainly do the job. For heavy baits and for retrieving big blades you will likely eventually have problems but if you know how to work on them you can keep them in decent running order. Probably wouldn't be my first choice for throwing bigger stuff but if it's what you can afford it will work just fine. The 4.2 gear (low) actually brings the big blades in pretty easily at slow to medium speeds, but just may not hold up as well long term. |

| ive had three and throw them all the time !they are pretty good reel for the money .Granted they arent a calcutta or curado or anything but it will handle cowgirls and pounders !ive only had problem w drags not being secure enough !!rated a 7 out of 10 .pretty reliable. |

| Not terrible, but not my favorite. If you're looking for a good starter reel I'd suggest a Shimano Cardiff 400A. Keep in mind that Bass Pro has a reel trade-in program that will allow you to take some money off. I would guess around $20 or so for each of the reels that have been mentioned. |
