Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | The reels I use for ripping pounders are my Calcutta 400 LJV's. These reels are the real deal when it comes to smoothness, power and they are durible!!! Look on line for good deals, ebay usually has some killer deals on them or call Thorne Bros and see if they have them on sale. These are the only reels I use any more, my clients use the regular Calcutta 400 TE's with power handles. I have a Tranx on order so I'm assuming that will take over for my big rubber reel come May. |

Location: MN | Guest, the LJV and 400TE are built nearly identical, especially where it matters in the gears. LJV has an extra bearing on the shaft. If you put a counter balanced power handle on the regular TE it may even be to some a tad better. Both are great, I do love my LJV. |
