First time using gold leafing foil. Turned out pretty cool, but it was definitely a laborious process.  I had to work backwards-from the tail forward. Every leaf "scale" that I put down I had to shade before I laid the next row. Wheew! The pics don't do it justice, but you get the idea. The bait is a 2012 "Heckler" topwater . I have been in the process of redoing the shape so that it can accomadate the 7/0 hooks better than the previous style. | Thanks Guys, Knooter, it's not gold foil. It is gold leafing. Each one of the scales was cut out and burnished on. Total pain in the ....  Way overkill for a bait, just wanted to try it out to see if it would work. Pikie- the Caprtain already tried to snag it  | |||

| Mikko, It took about 45mins per side. I don't know if I would do it agian, but I have had the foil for about 6 years Every year, I told myself I was going to do it, but put it off. The paint way is a pain too. I have done some of those over the years as well. Cool looking, but time absorbing . All this to catch a fish!
