Question for guys running a pro v or alumacraft tour pro tiller. Would a hds unit be able to pick up a gps single when mounted inside the electronics compartment ? I'm wondering because it would be back under the top rail - alum, wood, then carpet. Yeah I know you can get a ram mount to swing the unit where ever. Not looking to go that route.

I've seen guys have problems under a windshield before with some of the older units, I dont know if the newer ones have the same problems or not. You could always get external puck yet and hook that to them I think if you have to many problems...

Im sure TJDevoe has seen this done before, Im sure he will post also...
