| I found an awesome deal on both a Calcutta 400 TE and 700 TE. I am in need of a rubber/cowgirl reel. On my all purpose rod I have a Toro 5:1. Would you sell the Toro and get both Calcuttas, Only a 700, or only a 400? Thanks |

I'd say get the 400 and keep your toro. I use a 400TE for rubber and a trinidad for cowgirls, but I am seriously considering just using a TE for cowgirls. I felt they pulled fine and fast enough with the TE.

Location: Des Moines IA | Love my 700 for DBL 10s. Love the 5:1 toro for everything else, but a 400 TE is much more reel than a toro. Sell the toro buy both calcuttas. |

| 700TE is the reel for big blades (next to the Tranx, of course). They pull like a dream and you can get some good speed with it. Works great for just about everything else too, if you need it to. The 400TE would be a good all purpose reel. Get them both. Can't go wrong with a Shimano |

| I love my toros but if the calcuttas are that much better.. I would sell the toro and get the calcuttas. I just got a 400D and love it. Im wishing I would have gotten more shimano reels to start. |

| The 700TE is a great reel that will offer you some diversity in what you can do with it. The line pick up makes it a solid rubber option, since it is beefy enough to handle ripping pounders and fast enought to catch up the slack line. As has been stated, the power is amazing from blades, it will make 13s feel like butter. It also has a clicker which makes it a vialble option for trolling abnoxious things like super models at 5.5MPH. |
