Beaver before you sell the gun let me know, I have been shopping around for a gun for my daughter(13) for her first deer hunt with her dad. She did the Oct. t-zone hunt with me last fall and we built a stand together Laborday weekend. We will be hunting ducks together Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Please talk to me before you put that gun up for sale. That is the exact gun i was going to buy. I shoot the same model in 30-06. She is a great did and deserves a rifle, we used a shotgun for her doe last year but her stand dictates a rifle. Where is your land? We lost our hunting land after this year is over due to the farmer selling his land. After 17 years of hunting the land it will be hard to see it go. But on the other hand it will be good for my kids to learn how to figure out new land and stratiges of stand placement. The land we hunt now it so good due to proper trophy management that its hard for them to learn what its like to start from the basics. I hate to loose this land but if it had to happen its the perfect time. My son is 10 and he will be learning with us but will have to wait till he gets through hunters saftey before he gets to hunt.
