I really liked using the squirelly phantoms last fall, I was wondering if there is any quick and easy ways to make a regular phantom into a Squirrelly? BG

The best way I can think of is to sell the regular Phantom on eBay (or this forum) and use those proceeds to purchase a squirrelly tail.

I don't have any reg phantoms to compare but couldn't you just remove the back hook. Trim that end down. Slap some epoxy there and then glue on a grub tail...

They are weighted different inside because of the tail I believe.

I tried the project 2 years ago and failed. I believe Roger is correct...you'd need to add some weight to the back end of the 'new' squirrely version to get it to glide again.

you can try it,,,maybe it would run a little wild,,,it would make it different and might trigger the fish.
