So how'd ya do this weekend?

Many of our area lakes are in full turnover, crap/weeds floating everywhere...At least that's the report I'm getting, no reports of fish from local waters yet.

I didn't get out this weekend, Sat. worked around the house and went and test drove a different boat for the second time...fell in love and put money on it to hold it.

Need to sell my Magnum BAD...! Someone's gonna get a real steal...

Sunday worked on the honey-do list watched the second 1/2 of the Packers and fell asleep on the couch...[::)]

To sunny for duck hunting...maybe next weekend.

Hope ya'all had a fun weekend,

Mark

Slamr took me out Saturday to Silver. Nice conditions other than no rain. Slamr caught a 25" monster [;)] and that was it for the day. Great time though.

My kids caught two trees in the yard with casting plugs. No squirrels or starlings. Hope to be back to it next weekend.

Good weekend, musky gods have been smiling on me lately. 42", 40" and a low 30"s on black/nic bucktail, Perch Suick and Perch/Brass bucktail respectively. Lost 2 more that tangled in timber. Water temps in the low 50's, major cold front hit over the weekend, rain and wind around 20mph yesterday, fished in snow squalls and 30mph wind gusts today. Who cares, they're biting.[:)]

Skycarp shooting is best in March and April Todd. Besides the babies are still eating green, orange, and yellow goo (all colors are well represented on most of my t-shirts).
They appreciate your concern though!!

See you in Chicago?!

I had a tough challunge this last Friday and Saturday. I booked 5 guys with one follow boat for both days, the first 1/2 hour the follow boats batterys went dead. With no trolling motor thing would not work as planned. The boat owner(a walleye tournament fishermen)pulled his boat and went to get new batterys, this put 4 men in my boat. We made due with carefull instructions as to how and where your casting lanes were. I used two sucker rods as trailers and 4 guys casting, to make a long story short we boated one legal muskie each day and everyone had a great time. Thats about as much work as a guide should have to do, the follow boat didn't fish the next day so I had 4 Saturday also. The clients listened and did what they were instructed and everythig worked out in the end, including a $100.00 tip. Fishing was slow on Pewaukee Lake but managed to scrape up a couple. We did loose two other fish that were on but not boated. Lots of boats and fishing preasure on Saturday until the rains came then we called it a day.

Had a great time at the first annual JoMusky Musky hunt weekend. I put a 42 in the net ending a wicked dry spell and shared Oneida Esox's boat for another great time on the water. We moved 4 fish total, Joe's boat was able to get a few too. Good time, Thanks again Jo for the invite and John for the boat ride. Didnt see a thing on sunday but learned a new lake.[]
