We are looking into going to Red Deer Lodge on Sabaskong Bay LOTW. I am wondering if anyone has stayed there and if it would be a good place to bring a family? What would be the best time for numbers of muskies in that area? I have never muskie fished LOTW and appreciate any information you can give. Not looking for any specific spots. Thanks

You won't find nicer people than Ray & Roxanne. I try to go every year. Cabins are rustic 1930s log construction. So if you're looking for fancy, this aint it. Fishing seems pretty consistent throughout the season. You'll get some bloom depending on time of year and prevailing wind. If you want to try new water you can always work your way west!

If you are set on staying in the Nestor Falls area you might also want to look at Candian Haven Camp which is right up the road. I know they have stuff set up for kids to play on ( they have kids themselves) and they also give you very good rental boats, some of the best you will find at any Candian camp.

If i were you I would go up sometime between mid july and the first week of August
