I know quite a few people have had this happen, but after a lot of seasons on the water, it happened for the first time in my boat this year. We were able to boat two muskies on one of our last trips of the season last month. What a mess trying to land two and then get a picture snapped, but one of my favorite memories of the year. The fish were low 40s.

Would be cool to see some pics of other doubles too---or triples

Here is adouble from this year and the story that goes with it. Enjoy.
Double trouble
Scott Grabow and I were planning to hit the water on 11/19/11 but we were not sure where to go. Scott had indicated he wanted to maybe hit Pewaukee. After further discussion and commitments I had for that evening, we decided to give Wingra a try. It was later in the season and we thought the weeds should be down. So we hit the lake around 8:30am that day and started fishing. After a few lazy follows, we scored with a 36.5. That was followed by a 39 about a half hour later. We were working to a point where fishing had been good in previous years during the fall. We wanted to hit it at moonset to give us the best chance at landing another fish. Our timing was perfect as we were on the spot 5 minutes before moonset. I had a fish come in hot and ate on the figure 8. Just as we netted the fish, Scott's sucker rod went off. Scott set the hook and then the chaos took place. We already had one fish in the net, still hooked to the lure, and the other one thrashing at the back of the boat. I yelled to Scott " How do you want to do this, my sucker rod is in the way" !! He said "
Just lift it up and net mine". Well, we proceeded in this fashion and his fish was now in the net next to mine. Lines got tangled as both fish were green and twisting around in the net. We ended up cutting our lines and removing the
hardware. Another boat was close by and watched the whole thing. They were nice enough to come over and take a picture of our double header. Scott's fish measured 39.5 and mine was 37. We released them to fight another day and then began to laugh. It is a memory that we will never forget. Scott ended up catching one more fish that day. It was the best day for total fish in the boat this year. 5 fish, with a double header. It sure does not get much better than that. Steve

I got two in the bag on suckers this fall. As the first one went in the bag, my second rod went off. It was part of a nine fish day.

3 doubles this year??? WOW. Looking at those fish, it appears you were in WI. Incredible. Great work.

The trolling triple is sweet! Other pictures/stories are awesome too. Thanks for sharing.

Keep 'em coming guys! Fun topic to hear about.

Mr. Dan Steele is too modest. He forgot to mention the TRIPLE he caught while shooting a recent episode of the new BIGFISH365 television show with me last month. We had another shot at a Double and I unfortunately dumped both of them. Whoops. Not sure when this episode will air it but keep an eye out. Gotta press release coming here soon!

Here's the triple in the net.

Happy Holidays!
