Location: Poca, West Virginia | Just curious about what trolling combos most guys were using or would recommend to troll musky baits(10"-12" crank baits). I would be using a pair of planer boards and couple of rods off the back corners of the boat. |

| I troll like that and use Shimano TDR 8fot MH or H rods and Okuma Magda 30 reels. |

Location: Des Moines IA | For board rods, I use 10 ft. Okuma Mooching rods. They have a much stiffer backbone and hold up to the pull from the boards quite well. |

| Black River Live/Troll rods offer a mix of strong backbone and a forgiving tip. the graphite and glass means they're durable in the cold. http://blackriverrods.com/ Daiwa Sealine reels work great: smooth drags and loud clickers. http://www.daiwa.com/reel/linecounter.aspx |

Location: Canada | I am using Okuma 8' EVX Musky Trolling rods with Okuma Convector 30 Line counters for everything from board rods to inline planer boards to big mast style planer boards and not a problem. |
