Location: Eagan, MN | Palm? yes -- comfortably? I'm 6-3 w/ pretty decent sized hands, and I wouldn't go so far as to call it comfortable. But I do palm mine, and they are awesome reels. I'm looking forward to trying a tranx. |

| I'm in the 700 TE Camp. Best big rubber reel currently available IMHO. A bonus is that it is the best cold weather reel too which coincedentally is when you are most likly chucking alot of big rubber. I was on Mille Laces in sub Freezing weather last Friday and on Tonka in the snow storm on Saturday and it never once locked up or had its performance comprimise. Its all I used for two days straight. THis has been my expereince as long as I have used them. If a 400Te is a Suburban the 700 TE is a military isue Hummer.... |

| I have one on an XXH Predator and have used one on a XH Predator too. I love the XXH for chucking Rubber. The XH which can handle most everything but 2 Pounders is also a solid choice but we me its more of a 10 and 13 blade rod now.. |

| So is having a levelwind a must when using these reels for retrieving the slack line when pulling plastics? |

Location: Hugo, MN | Levelwind is nice when it's windy. I use my Trinidad 14 a fair amount, but have some minor issues with the line piling up on one side when the wind is blowing from one side, or if you sweep your rod to the side when retrieving. It isn't that big of a deal, but a levelwind solves that problem. The 700te is the best I've used, paired with a Predator XXH 9'6". |

| I do not think its a must. It can be helpfull but I have tossed plastics on 16 Trinidad's as well with great frequency and expereinced minimal problems. I think the 700TE is better but the 16 is a beast of a reel that ran handle ripping big baits. |
