So the boat is away for winter but until ice is out i cant help but want to fish. Does anyone know of some decent spots to shore fish in the madison area?? i was told the dam in mcfarland on waubesa is pretty decent. I guess my main concern is that alot of muskies are supposed to be in deeper water, but i also know that nothing is certain and you can always get lucky. Any info on a good spots is appreciated.

If I had to fish from shore I would try along John Nolen Dr. on Monona all the way up to the terrace particularly by the bridges. Also might try Wingra park by the boat landing.

There is a warm water discharge over by the MG&E plant. east if you're on the lake, of the convention center.
