Any one have any experience painting crackle finishes on baits.I know that you would first put down a base color and then cover with the clear crackle coat.When putting the second color of paint over the clear crackle layer,do you put a lot of retarder in your paint to keep it from drying too fast. Thanks

The stuff that I get from House of Kolor is made to do 1 lure at a time. After I paint the lure, I spray their 'special' clear on it and then wrap it in plastic wrap and impart a variety of twists and finger nail drags and then unwrap it and hang it to dry. I have to work fast but don't use a retarder.
