Ashton is with the surgical team as I post this preparing for surgery to begin the process of removing tissue from his throat and creating a soft palate. | Ashton spent two and a half hours in the recovery room this morning and came out of it a bit out of sorts, but the surgery was a total success at this point. He has a considerable number of sutures, and has to wear arm restraints for a couple weeks so he doesn't unintentionally damage the fragile repairs made before they can heal. He will have a tough time of it for awhile, but should be just fine.

Ashton is home now, and in good spirits despite having to be in arm restraints. They surgical team will look at the results of their work in a few days. I will keep you all updated.
