Looking to get the Mrs. some electric socks. Battery powered! Anybody have suggestions on a good brand?

Nordic Gear, purchased from Gander Mt. for my wife. She loves them. Cold feet all the time before, now she lasts all day. You will own stock in D batteries when it gets cold. The socks eat them like candy, but well worth the warmth provided.

Get Lynn a good pair of LaCrosse pac boots and a pair of wool blend socks. I can sit in a tree stand all day and my feet are never cold. A Korbel Manhattan when you come in helps keep the pinkies warm too !

I LOVE my 2000g pack boots for hunting. Deer hunting a few years ago and 6 hours at -15 in Minnesota up in a tree stand and the ONLY thing I could feel was my feet and they were warm. They are like walking in ski boots though but fine to stand in.

Ditto on the 2000 grm boots. the Cabelas brand are a bit like frankenstein for actual bulk, but surprisingly light. Love them but use caution when considering using them in conjunction with a climbing stand. For late season fishing though Id think they'd rock.

I will agree a good pair of pac boots and wool blend socks work great for most. My wife not so much. One pair of Rocky boots, cold feet. One pair of LaCrosse Ice Kings, I thought I had it licked. First 3 hours of ice fishing, first comment she made, "my feet are frozen, can we go?"

I had enough, bought the electric socks, and it was me to get cold first. She will be the first to say they are well worth the money. Your wife will love them too.

LOL KARLOUTDOORS you are right! Took me about 5 minutes to get my feet into the straps and another 5 minutes to get them out on my climber. I have the Cabelas ones too and YES they are super light for a monster boot like that.

Alpaca socks. Seriously, best socks I have ever owned. Paired with 2000 gram thinsulate boots, and it's warm feet city.
