I can replace hooks on just about any bait with Eagle Claw 774's (love that hook if I can use it, but they only go up to 5/0) or Mustad 3551's (I have some smaller sizes too, but use them in 7/0 and 8/0 for double 10's and rubber. I also have a few baits that I use the Round bend Mustad 3/0 - Weagles and I think some minnowbaits use them.

Those 3 hooks seem to match up well with just about everything, and all are good quality and easy to afford.

mustads 3551 get my vote-a good all around quality hook.

VMC 8650BZ 2/0-5/0, for most lures
Owner St-36 6-3/0, for ice fishing rigs and lures were i want a lighter hook
VMC 9626BZ 2-1/0, for live bait rigs

I dont really use the really big lures but i would use VMC 9617BZ 7/0, i dont ever see myself using a larger hook than a 7/0, but then again, i would get Mustad 3551 in 8/0 and up.
Gamakatzu are not worth the money at all, not very strong, extremely expensive and you really have to re sharpen after EVERY fish (i fish for pike and sharpening after every fish sucks). Its more worth it to get the VMC 8650 (same model, different brand) it is alot cheaper and stays sharper alot longer.

VMC 9626 which is a 4x strong or Mustad 3551 thinner wire hook. Just depends on the lure.
