Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | How many times have U stored your rod and reels in your Boat Locker the last time U fished and the next time U got your rod and reels out the reel felt like a coffee grinder ?? U probably have rusted bearings in your reel, how can that be the reel is only a month old ????? This reel is JUNK !!!!!!!!!!!! Well leaving any reel in a closed boat rod locker for a extended time period will rust your reel bearings and will swell the reel drag washers with moisture and rust the metal drag washers, and the next time U use that reel it will be Junk. The problem ??? Well the last time U used your boat it rained all day and the carpet was soaked with water and the bilge had a little rain water in it to, now U cover the boat and drive home with your rod and reels in the boat locker and when U get home U leave your covered boat outside and the next day the sun hits the boat and cover and all the water in you boat will turn into a Humidity Bath inside the the rod locker and your reel will set in all that moisture for weeks. Even if U store your boat in the garage there will be humidity forming in the rod locker. Even if your boat is dry, if U leave your rod and reels in your boat rod locker, fluctuating temperatures will form condensation in side your reels and if they are not protected with a corrosion proof grease or coating the inside of your reel and it's bearings will rust. When I service a reel I will use a saltwater grease and a corrosion proof lube like Corrosion X so they won't rust even if they set in a humidity bath for weeks. The best thing is to store your rod and reels in a warm dry place inside your home and not your boat locker or garage. |

How 'bout storing them in the shed during the warm months? Mine's not humid and it gets quite toasty in there at times. |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | During the summer months not to bad. The reason I posted is I got 3 reels last week that had rusted bearings and they were only 6 months old. I don't even like to keep my baits in a boat, It's a pain but I always take them out when I get home. |

| What your turn around time?I have a 3 year old TE thats making a grinding noise now thought i had gotten sand in it loaded it with oil helped a bit but still grinding
