| Anyone have any sucess with Stealth's Weighted Leaders to keep glide baits deeper? Which weight do you use? Throwing 6" and 7-1/2" Phantoms mostly. |

Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | I use the stealth weighted leaders for quite a bit of different applications. On gliders, they seem to hang up a bit on wide glides, but if you get your cadence down and glide right it can be sweet, however on the pause you do go nose down pretty heavy even on the lighter model leaders. The only bait I have a issue with when throwing a weighted leader are cranks. They always seem to foul. |

| Thanks. What size weight would you suggest? I was thinking about trying the 3/4 and 1 oz. I'd like to keep them down at least 8' without having too much of a pause between jerks. Is there any particular size or brand of jerkbait that works best with weighted leaders. |

Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | The sledges work really well with them... Plus, Red October Tubes are NASTY with one! What I like to do is cut the swivel off, put the snap on the front and tie the line to the weighted end.... It's like a super bass presentation. As for weight? There really isn't a "best" weight, the only issue you will really have with a varied size is casting. you just need to play with that and figure out what suits you best! |
