| tickets for the New Years Eve show in New York City (Manhattan) are on sale now at www.phish.com
As always, this will probably be the #1 concert of the year (for any band), and Phish's NYE shows are just plain awesome. There are hotels w/in walking distance of Madison Square Garden ranging from $110 a night to $900 a night.
If anyone wants some recommendations for hotels, shoot me an email. I suggest having a buddy order some tickets for you too, in case you fly, then you'll have some trading power for the show. Also, if you order this weekend at www.phish.com, you'll get an email before the go on sales at ticketmaster confirming if or what tickets you go, so you can get them thru ticketmaster if you don't get tix thru the lottery on phish.com
if anyone needs any help or info about this, drop me a line.

We've already got our plans to head to NYC for the New Years show. We had a few people put in for tickets hoping one of us will get lucky with the lottery. We don't have hotel yet but when we get ticket confirmation I'll shoot you an email for hotel suggestions.
I can't wait for the boys to get back on stage ... it's been too long since my last phish show ...

Phishin, right now there is probably 2, maybe 3 of us headed for NYC from WI for the show ... we will try and reserve rooms as soon as we have confirmation on tix ... I'll keep you posted ...

| Did anyone get tickets for the show through mail order? We went 0 for 3 and now have to battle the ticketmaster rush on Friday morning ... I'll let you guys know if we got them or not ...

Now, friday morning, get someone online for you at ticketmater.com and some one be on the blower and try to get some tickets. i haven't bought my airline tix yet since i have no tix to the show. i would usually drive, but now i travel w/ a woman...i didn't pick her up on tour neither.

| Ah, I was worried you guys were far too confident about your chances to score tickets. Well, it's not over yet; get as many people as possible in those ticketmaster lines and dialing the ticketmaster number over and over.
We use to have all sorts of tricks to get Dead tickets. The best was....we located a sister of a friend who lived in the same neighborhood as the Dead office where they managed the mail order tickets. We sent her our orders a few days beforehand and she dropped them off at the San Rafael post office first thing on the first day the orders would be accepted. We lived in Michigan but our mail orders arrived at the Dead office by noon the first day. We never failed to get at least lawn seats doing that, and one time we scored 3 row center seats for a St. Louis show.

| I didn't get any tixs either. But i have a friend who works at ticketmaster and he's gonna try to place an order for me first thing....he's gonna post a sale as pending before 10 am on Friday and right when tixs go on sale, his request will be filled....I hope.

| AAARRRGGGGGGG. darn spank master, ticketmaster....
No tix for me. I shut the department for 45 minutues here at work and had 7 of us trying to get tix...no luck. so...ebay has the tix WAY up there...Here in indiana, scalping is legal, we call them ticket brokers....so, i guess now i have to go hunt down some thugs and hit them up.

| Given the demand, you guys should be ready for the possible announcement of additional dates. If it happens, they may make the tickets available at the same time they announce the additional dates. So keep your radar turned up to 10 and be ready to scramble.
One thing to check - see if the venue is even available for additional dates. If there are open dates immediately preceeding or following the planned shows, then there is an increased chance of more Phish shows. If the venue is already booked with other shows/bands, there is less liklihood that additional Phish shows will be scheduled.

| We got shut out on ticketmaster as well ... They were sold out in less than 10 minutes ... I can't believe the buck they are getting for them on ebay!
We though about Hampton too but those tix are pricey as well ... have to wait for a summer tour I guess because I'm not spending $700 a ticket ...
