Thought of this thread while fishing this weekend, had a flock of geese land 50 yards away from me after the hunters 500 yards away tried calling them in. Didn't seem to care about the camo boat in the middle of the lake.

This weekend while out, we watched a small flock of geese decoy into someone a couple points down. It was a cool sight to see 2 birds fall out...And then the lure slinging from our boat resumed.

It's tough during Duck season on the Fox Chain. They let the hunters set up on the sandbars as well as in the channels, where there is no possible way to maintain the 250' distance. The channels are navigable thoroughfares, and houses line both sides! Spring lake is just a wide channel, maybe 250' across. These guys will shoot whether you are in the way or not. Had shot bounce the water very close a few times.
