| Did any other MuskieFirster's fish this tournament last weekend?
At any rate, we got a lucky draw and ended up with boat #8. Getting out of the gates early sure makes a difference. Well, at least it could have. The start was 7:00AM and I had a legal blow up on me at 7:12AM on Big Fork. Then the action seemed to slow down until around 2:30PM. Ended up seeing two more legals before the day was done, but they didn't feel like being caught that day.
Sunday started off warmer, but the weather turned crappy quickly. Only saw one fish on Sunday, and it was a tiny one (roughly 22").
It was a fun time. I was one of the three idiots who didn't bring their raffle tickets with them to the banquet on Saturday, and sure enough, I do have ticket 207.. so I would have gotten the walleye picture! (DOH!!!)[:knockout:] |

| How many total fish were caught?I heard that the chain was turning over is this true? |

| Not sure how many were caught on Sunday, but only 11 fish were caught on Saturday, and two teams doubled up. (Ouch!) The biggest fish on Saturday was a nice fat 44 1/8"er.
Some of the lakes were starting to turnover. |

| I believe there were also 8 fish caught on sunday from I was told. The action was great we were able to see alot of follows just could not get them to bite. Sat Night my partner had to head back to Chicago due to an emergency so Sunday I get to fish alone thinking to my self o.k. this is a transport tournament and you can only reg one fish per person in the state of Wisconsin. I already knew I could never win with two teams already doubled up but o.k. maybe I can get biggest fish, so I am boat #1 from the start off go to my first spot change up baits from the day before third cast I boat a 34.5" do I bring this in and get on the board & not fish anymore? no I realeased the fish to try and get a larger fish, (I will say being a tournament angle that was very hard to realease a legal you could have put on the board. So I continue to fish about 945 a.m. I get a blowup but never see the fish three or four casts later I get an 18" pike just as I am going down to release the pike a 45-48" big girl comes up to grab the pike & I don't know if she got spooked from me dropping the fish back in the water cause I like my fingers or just seen the boat...
Boy I thought about casting that pike out there a few times but I just don't fish like that in tournaments or anytime. So I casted for another 45 min or hr then headed off the lake 2 hrs before tournament ended, It was a long shot but I tried better luck next year...
The Three Lakes Tournament that is held by the Chamber was alot of fun. A special thanks for everything from Ed & Bonnie Lamb of Bonnie's Lakeside for the great food on Sat night and the help from Gary & Terry and there daughter from Rustlewood Resort, Mike Miller & I wasn't there but I am sure Mann's Campground did a great job on the final ceremony on Sunday. Thanks guys & gals for allowing us Musky nuts have another enjoyable two days on the water, See You Next Year[:sun:] |

| Jeff,
Did you have that big one blow up on the Northern on Little Fork, just north of Preachers Point? We caught one there that fit's her description earlier in the summer; but couldn't get her attention during the tourney.
I'll be fishing the Fall Classic again next year, so I'll see you then! |
