Fished it (monona) Saturday and moved 4. two chased an Ace tandem (spinnerbait) and two missed a topraider. One crazy fish missed it so bad the topraider got thrown 2 feet in the air. Didn't see anything from 10am to noon so we called it a day with all the boat traffic. Lots of floating weeds.

Fished Wednesday 6/30 for our first match of the year. Got a 34" on Monona at 9:15 a.m. and a 47" on Waubesa at around 8:15 p.m. Raised one other on Monona. Pretty slow day but the 47 made it worth it especially since she ate a cowgirl on the 8

Fourth of July 43" and 40" both on cowgirls. What in the world did you do to that 47" from last year?

water temps on chain over 80 deg. 84 today waubesa 81 monona. Very hard on fish please water release only. Watched 2 guys kill a 34" tonight from netting and putting in boat and then taking pictures. I explained to them not to take out of water when its this hot. They said they had to have pictures.
Im done fishing for musky till temps drop.

Good call Jeff, they've been bouncing up and down, but I think its here to stay for awhile. Unfortunetely the majority of guys still fishing when its well over 80 are the guys who need a pic of every fish they catch to show off, wheather 34, or 43! Hopefully they only have to kill one before they learn.

Pray for wind, clouds and colder temps!!!

bluegills are on the weedlines on Monona...limits in under 1.5 hrs ... some up to 9.5... give the muskies a break!!! let the water temps (not just surface temp) cool back into the mid 70s...imo they have been too high for a while to fish ...watched one big one take wayyy tooo long to release after a very long fight...no need to fish right now here.
go north! ; )

I am going to be camping on Waubesa in a few weeks and was wondering if there is anywhere to rent a boat close by.

Barr's Resort in McFarland used to rent out boats. Give them a call and see if they still do. 608-838-9917
