| I remember some people mentioning that they had a power handle for the abu-garcia c4 reels. I've got the 6500 c4 and I want to put the power handle on it. Anyone know where I can get one of these?

Which one do I get? I found all of them and don't know which is the best one for my reel. It looked like all the Japanese made ones aren't for the 6500 but there was still like 3 or 4 different ones. Which one would you recommend?

1-800-458-1205 is Reeds direct line. Call and ask for Jeff Melcher or someone from the fishing dept. Tell them you want a power handle for the c4's. You'll get the same handle that came with the 6500 TCM series! I have one on every reel that I own except one c3.

| I have the round handles on my C4 and really like it. The age of your reel determines whether or not you need a new nut to attach it. I got mine from Rollie and Helen's. When I ordered it, the salesman asked me the age of the reel to determine which one to send. I do not believe the older reels need the nut. My reel is approx. four or five years old. |

I haven't contacted Reeds yet, but Abu Garcia got back to me today. They sell the handle (part# 22031)for $11.40 and the nut cover(part# 95495)for $2.76.

I also use the power handles on all my Garcias, and I like them. If you want you can get them directly from Garcia (part of Pure-Fishing). I suppose they cost at least as much there as they do from a retailer. The part number for the power handle you need is 22031. You can call Garcia service at 1-800-228-4272. They also have schematics for all their reels on their web site. Try this for more help (you'll need Adobe Acrobat to download).

If I remember correctly, when I contacted Abu through their site, there was another part, a screw that was needed, they knew the part number, I didn't write it down, hope this helps, good luck with your reels.
