Location: Antigo Wi. | I use a wire leader with my weagle and sometimes when I am working it the front hook will catch on the leader fouling the bait. What leader is best to use, or is this just something that will happen when using this type of bait.Never had alot of luck with WTD baits till this summer but I am liking the weagle the more I use it. |

Location: Minneapolis | Happens to me when I jerk the bait too hard and it doesn't get a chance to turn. Maybe won't happen as often with a fluoro leader? |

Location: lansing, il | Ive found it to be personal preference and has alot to do with your retreive style and how you work the bait. I like to use 130 or 150# Fluoro, where alot of guys prefer what we call a standard WTD leader which is basically a solid wire leader with no swivel. |

| I have this happen to me once in awhile no matter what type of leader I use. With that being said, I have the least fouling with a solid single strand leader at least as long as the bait I am using. Also, I don't use a swivel. I have found this to be the best for me with all styles of glide baits. |

| I've been throwing this bait since Cady made the first prototype. I've probably thrown a Weagle more than he has over the years!
Funny thing, he prefers flouro and I prefer a solid strand wire leader without a swivel.
So, bottom line is, whatever works best for you with less fouling.

| I like 13" of 0.029 stainless, #5 Stay-Lok, no swivel
