Here is some stuff that I came up with while working on some new lures.
I took the glider out and it was a flop. Back to the drawing board.

What did it do/not do?
Some of my 'flops' have turned into my favorite lure designs, simply by changing a line tie placement, or adding some weight, or in one case changing my retrieval method. For example, I make a panfish profile 'glider' that when I first played with was an utter disaster. But after switching from longer glide pulls on the retrieve to REALLY short walk-the-dog pops it completely came alive, and is now one of my favorite lure designs.
You already know it doesn't work the way you want it to as it is... when I'm playing with lures, that's the point where I start drilling and hacking. Maybe put a screw eye in at the point of the nose? That might get closer to the action I think you're looking for... Or screw a lip on it? Maybe it could work as a crankbait... or with a jitterbug lip?
It looks like you've got a lot of time on it; it would be a shame to just toss it on the scrap heap without seeing what it's capable of!
