Location: Nielsen's Fly-In Lodge, on Rowan Lake | The Muskie fishin on Rowan has been very strange Lot's of mid 40 inch stuff showing up. The big girls are showing up on main lake reefs on the stump hawgs and cowgirls bright colors slow retrieve off the sides. had a big blow the other day and found them on the back sides of the reefs and points. In that wind they where showing some aggressiveness and moving a lot faster water temps have fallen to 74 now which is a good thing just a quick report i think big things are about to break lose later Don |

| Hey Don thanks for the update...keep them coming!
We had a fabulous trip again and hats off to you & Lynn and everyone on your staff for making our recent fishing trip to Rowan Lake fantastic!
I'd like to share the recent video you posted on your Facebook page about hook removal from an accidental hook set into yourself or a fishing buddy. I'm sure any of the muskie hunters following your fishing reports could benefit from this. Just go to the link below on YouTube or visit Nielsen's Fly-In Lodge's Website:

| Hey Don, Lynn, Paul,Shauna, and Maggie------wish I was still casting bucktails up past the "S-Turn" but as the case would be----I'm just NOT that lucky. Thanks again for the most RELAXING musky trip that I've had in a loooooong time. That eight pointer I saw the first night has my hunter buddies drooling---but that is another story! I am already attempting to find someone to come up next year--- even if it's only for a few day trip----totally worth it!!!! Hope you guys have a safe season---whatever's left of it------see you at the shows Don------Your friend-----Pat Elza |
