After taking this reel apart for cleaning and lubrication, I have not been able to get the drag as tight since putting it back together.  Can't figure out what I did wrong?  Spring washers are opposed to one another but does it matter if you install them concave or convex side out?  Also, does it matter which way you install the middle steel washer the tabs are turned down and I presently have then into the brass gear which seemed to make more sense.  Any other advice?

Thing I figured it out. The tabs on the middle washer need to point away from the gear, otherwise it takes pressure off the bottom two discs.

Classic mistake, but you only have to make it once :).
