I have a 2003 Ranger 620 with SeaStar hydraulics. Have a good feeling on how to do it, but never done it before, and was wondering if anyone had any tips?

Also, how do you know when all the air is bled out? Heard you are supposed to do a certain number of hard cranks but don't have any information on it.

Thanks!

Its pretty simple. Did it for the first time ever a few months ago.

You can do a search on youtube and find a few instructional videos from SeaStar on how to do it.

You will know all the air is out when the hydraulic fluid starts coming out in a steady stream.

So, is Dextron used by you folks, or should I head to the marina to buy fluid?

I went to a marine dealer and bought the SeaStar fluid recommended for the system.

Living in the "great plaines of Ill it is 40miles rount trip to my Ranger dealer. and his muskie lure selection is not worth the morning trip! Nothing is too good for the ole boat though so I guess I'll get the correct fluid.
