anyone use one in a nuvi--- hows the detail and accuracy? will be fishing in a friends boat in the future. he has a locator but no gps. i have navionics app on my iphone but dont want to use constantly for navigation. all feedback is appreciated. Brian

I have the Nuvi 500 and use the Lakemaster MN chip in it. Have been very pleased with it. I havent used it for open water fishing though, just on the ice and then while grouse and pheasant hunting using the MNTrax chip. Detail and accuracy are very good on it.
Not sure on about other Nuvi's, I know the 500 has some features others dont as it was designed as more of an all around unit instead of being geared primarily for on road navigation. For example, the 500 has off road, hiking and boating modes, not sure if all other nuvis have those options or not.
