| I have a Humminbird 958c with the regular dual beam transducer. I am now going on my 3rd transducer within the last 13 months.
This is what happens, The transducer will start to not show the depth, it will always show 0.7' but the sonar will work, a couple weeks later it starts to lose the color or sonar shown on the screen and the screen will just a appear white and only show depth or sonar once in a while, then eventually it stops working completely. If I buy a new transducer and plug it in it works fine. It appears the the old transducer "pings" or clicks very slow compared to the new one.
I talked to humminbird once when it was under warranty and all they did was send a new transducer...
Anyone have any idea whats going on here? |
