Posts: 152 | Water wolf also has some killer new tubes if your into tubes. You can get shadzilla only at big wood tackle and they are the best bait made since the suick was first invented . They will change the way you fish Chart or orange would be your best bet in that water color. Those who have fished shadzilla find it hard to go back to other lures

Posts: 551 Location: Columbus, Georgia | Consider throwing the Shallow Invader. A hard-bodied bait with a nice rubber tail. The bait can be thrown in very shallow water and will not get hung up the way Dawgs and the other rubber baits suggested here will. Many color and patterns are available. The bait floats at rest, while Dawgs and the like sink like a stone ...

No need to buy multiple baits for different depths. As far as colors it depends on the color of the river you are fishing. Black/orange is a staple on a lot of rivers I have heard. I would also think white/chartreuse would be killer. Carp has been a good color in tanic water as well as Firebelly. If there is a color he doesn't have Roger will try to paint up whatever you want. Like a Mepps you have all kinds of combos you can make with the Hardhead since the tails screw on and off. Along with versatility you also get a bait that holds up well being it is half rubber, and half hard body. Because of this you also have a much higher hook-up ratio with the bait versus most all rubber baits. http://www.h2otackle.com/pages/pull-baits/hardhead.php

Posts: 152 | Bull dowsers are just adding a shaft with blades on the front . Then you work it like a bucktail . No you dont work shadzilla like any bulldawg style bait (unless you want to) A straight retrieve is the best way ive found to use um though ive caught fish with the pull stop method . When you bull dowser a zilla it turns into something else . Something magic something so good you wont ever look back. I can fish shadzilla with dowser at 6 inches without dowser down to 50 feet . By far the most versatile bait ever made.!!!!

Location: Northern Wisconsin | I would look at a hard head. With out any weights you can fish it fairly slow and it still stays up shallow. I have been using one on my local river lately

The Dunwrights are great baits I used them for close to two years and they're priced better. Two colors that worked well were the perch and walleye. They have a different shaped head then a dawg and they sink faster then a dawg so not sure if these would fit what you're looking for......one other thing about them is the rubber formula used to make them melts at higher temps so you absolutely cannot leave them in the sun. If one melts on you just send a picture and an e-mail to Dunwright tackle and they'll send you a new one. Other then an occasional melter the rubber is indestructible - you'll never have to buy a new one because it got chewed up. The tails have good action too!

Posts: 152 | I have no idea how the word "made" got their it was meant to say"used" wow sorry water wolf i want everyone to know im not having delusions here i just put the blades on . I make nothing of the sort. wow i got to proof read better ! Really feel foolish for the typo . I dont make anything but the bull dowsers . Shadzilla is a very good bait that i have nothing to do with the manufacturing or design . Even though i sound like a idiot they still rock and you should give them a try .

Posts: 152 | dunwright rubber is a bad investment . The baits look great in the water but they melt like ice no matter how they are stored . Ive never seen anything like it they just flat out turn into goo . I want to try these hellcats now that ive seen um . Now if we could get water wolf to make a 10 inch shadzilla we would have the king of baits in our hands . Go Packers!
