Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I really would not suggest camping in SE Wisconsin, in fact I don't even know if any of those lakes have campgrounds. Both the Madison and Milwaukee areas have good fishing opportunities for Muskies but those lakes are packed full of houses, not much in terms of resorts. I think Madison might have something on Waubesa possibly...I'd really suggest you drive the extra few hours and go up to Oneida, Vilas, or Iron Co for a much better experience if you are looking to camp... |

| There are nice campgrounds around Elkhart and Random Lakes area. Both have fishable populations of muskies, and are close enough together that you can fish both in a day. |

Location: The Yahara Chain | There are two campgrounds near Lake Waubesa. There is camping at Babcock Park in McFarland and there is also a bigger campground very close to the Lake Farm launch on the other side of the lake. Once on the lake you can get to Lake Monona via the Yahara River if you want to check that out as well.
Our lakes are crowded but we have 5,000 acres of superb musky fishing as well as many other species. |
