Posts: 4266 | Man, it seems like forever since I've posted anything on here, but I actually made some lures. This one is a Humpback, but if it ever warms up in my garage I just might finish some of the Walleye and Sucker profile lures that I cut along wit some Perkettes that are an inch wide rather than 3/4. I did a few CA Redwood lures for myself last fall but that's been the extent of my lure making. I'm going to have to push past the back issues and pace myself even if it means doing one lure at a time. This lure is 8" long and a hair over 1.25 wide. It's not a wide gliding lure, but I love the action. It kind of tips it's head down slightly on the snap, almost like it's looking down for something. I have no name for the color because it's never the same, it all depends on the angle. I have to thank the people at House of Kolor for coming out with a new line of Kameleon and effect-shifting paints. I don't think that I coul paint some of the stuff that I do without their help. Anyway, if I have to make them one at a time and take a day to do it, that's how it'll have to be. "A man's just got to know his limitations." Now if I can remember how to post pictures. Posts: 1207 Location: Pigeon Forge TN. | Hey Beav, Good to have you back at any pace. I was lucky enough to have been able to get proper surgery to correct my spinal problems. Now if I could just reverse OLD AGE, I would be in Second Heaven. We just gotta go with what we can for sure. Any way. I still have those older Perka blanks. I still haven't painted them as yet after all these years. Again, it sure is good to have you back at any pace. The lures look great, you haven't lost your touch at all. Posts: 4266 | Thanks guys. I'm determined to get out to the garage more often and do as much as I can. It fealt real good to get out there and paint. I think that I have about 20 of those Humpback blanks hanging out there that are primed and ready to go. On low pain days I'm going to start painting a few every day. I miss painting and making lures, but some days it's hard to sit or stand or walk, so I have no choice but to take it easy. There will be more to come. Beav | ||
