I will be fishing the promac tournament on Pewaukee Lake this Saturday with Justin Blanchar from Vibrations Tackle, and will be streaming live video from my boat for the entire duration of the tournament.

We will start rolling between 5 and 6 am and will be the last boat to ease out

You can watch all the action live on Saturday by clicking this link.

I have been out just about everyday on pewaukee and the bite has definitely been a little off with all the east winds and below average temps lately. The east end flat has been about your best luck with twitch baits (slammers, skinners, shallow raiders) and gliders (manta, hellhound, warlock). Find a break in the thick weeds, whether it be a large area or just a small pocket and fish the edges. taylors was choked out pretty bad last time we were out, but just east of Taylors to just past the trestle has been a great spot with sparse weeds. Same with outside of smokeys to the middle of the flat, and east of the island. if you go west of the island the weeds are pretty bad. Jig/plastic combos have also been very productive for fishing the pockets.

I have also been contacting fish off the west end in 18-30 FOW that are chasing schools of perch. Bulldawgs, tubes and jig/plastics have been showing fish. Drive around till you find a school of baitfish, fan cast that area and repeat until you find the skis. Ive had more action on the bottom than anywhere else in the water column.

Good luck out there this weekend guys!

I will be streaming live from my boat too, but it's usually from a bit too much coffee. If anybody is watching, it is cold in the morning and that's why it looks like that.

Ben -

Your video (catching fish, not peeing) should be great for people to watch. I would make sure you clear steaming video with the officials. You could be violating the rule(s) #31 and #32. I am sure if you clear it ahead of time they won't mind.

31. No competitor may give, buy or barter a fishing location from any other competitor or non-competitor for use during the competition day.

32. During the official competition day(s) of the tournament, a competitor may not use a CB radio, a VHF marine-band radio, a cellular phone, or any other type of communication device for the purpose of locating or catching fish. Competitors are permitted to transmit by radio or telephone only in the event of an emergency. Cell phones can be used to contact judges in order to measure fish. If so equipped, competitors may listen to the marine-band radio weather information.

Thank you for the report and good luck!

Thanks for the advice guys! Tough bite out there today for just about everyone I talked to. We had 2 fish, hooked up that shook loose and 1 follow from a mid 30s. Firetiger manta and firetiger baby depthraider both got hit. one fish in 20 FOW on the far west end and the other fish was shallow on the far east end. Water temps were about the same on all the spots I fished (62-65).

Had to shut the camera down early because of the rain, but I will be posting a schedule on my website in the next few days. Still trying to work out a few bugs with the setup.

My hats off to the teams that caught fish and doubled up! Regardless of the tough bite we still had a great time on the water and learned a few things as well.

Tight lines!

Ben

I think streaming live is a fantastic idea. I wish I could've tuned in for a bit today but I actually got some fishing in myself! Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to seeing this and hopefully picking up some tips, Ben!

I think it's actually a great idea, as well for anyone who doesn't know much about the sport of musky fishing and what it entails.

Thanks, Scott! I still have a few kinks to work out before I start streaming on a daily basis, but it will be happening in the very near future.
