I've had a lot of time to mess around with baits this spring. This one turned out pretty well. It glides pretty well, still working on getting the weighting just right before I make up a batch.

It's just under 11", probably around 12 oz. It's made out of hard maple, 1 1/4" thick. It's a big glider.

Muddy- the plan is to play with the body shape and weight distribution until I think it's right, then maybe sell a few.

I've been making all kinds of baits this spring, from dive and rise jerk baits, to gliders, to big crankbaits and even bigger crankbaits, to twitchbaits. I'm just playing around with different materials and construction methods at this point. Every bait I've made thus far has been a one-of-a-kind bait. Most of them work, but some need a little tweaking. I'll post a few more in the next couple weeks.

That's about as close to matching the hatch as you can come... Starting to get close to that Salmo real-fish photo 'wall paper' pattern only yours is truly painted and a heck of a work of art. Nicely done.
