For the wisconsin opener I think I will take my first cast with a shhhhhhh flaptail. From there rabid squirrel spinnerbait and probly one of my gliders with a 7" big game thrown in for good measure. Have a safe one and let's see some pics. Oh by the way maybe I will stick one in IL tonight on one of my gliders

I’ll be throwing a walleye MDR Chopper and a jointed perch Molly Bait.  My GF will be throwing a double #6 gold bladed marabou “perch” flavour and then a black, purple and yellow one that she made over the winter.

Got Esox?

Does depend on if we stop shoveling snow out of the boat by then, but...this year I have so many good "spring offerings" earmarked I am culling to see what not only gets a boat ride by what even goes into the tow vehicle! Several new twitchbaits from Tylersbasement creations, a couple small gliders, one is a timberwolf from Tyler also. Roger from H2O sent a "ripper 7" version" that is prelim testing really looks great in the water. I don't even want to start on some of the topwater baits. I have a couple home made WAKE baits too that show allot of promise. Several modified suicks & reef hawgs, and yes finally I have all my reef hawgs rated by depth level and ID'd!!! Hey it only took me 30 years to get that done!!

After going through my tackle last night and separating my early-season baits, I don't have a whole lot of stuff for early season use but I'm confident in what I do have - and I guess that's all that matters, right?

I've got a few solid Mepps Musky Killer bucktails.
And if I really want to downsize, I've got a few Mepps #5.
Also, have a few 3/4oz. and 1oz. spinnerbaits.

I've got new the custom Bluegill jerkbait thanks to Matt!
I've got the all-new 4" Phantom softail jerkbait.
I've got the new Timberwolf softail jerkbait/glider and a new custom 6" Timberwolf glider thanks to Tyler!

And that's basically all I'm bringing with me. I'm not even bringing my big soft-sided Flambeau tackle box because more than half of it, I ain't even throwin' this weekend.

Good luck and be safe out there, everyone.

Hawg Wobbler if conditions allow. If conditions aren't right could be any number of new baits I'd like to gain confidence with right away this season!

Still not sure where my partner and I are headed for opener in a few weeks. Hopefully somewhere that we can predominantly cast instead of troll as I have a bunch of gliders I want to throw, mainly Modivators and one from YG Lures.
