Hey guys, looking for some good ideas for pike patterns. I saw pikeminded's witch was pretty sweet. I paint alot of my own baits and the pike pattern has been tough for me. They just never seem to come out natural looking. Too green, spots look funny.. maybe even ideas in to with way to paint the layers on?
thanks, John

Anyone else paint a pike pattern? Free hand or stencil?

Anyone try fly-fishing for musky. I catch more poike & musky on big streamers than guys pitching hardware in the same boat. Best patterns are made w/marabou, topped by Flashabou & crystal flash - 3/0 barbless hooks. Complete recipies is available if you write me, + tips on "How-to-do-it." I gave a guy a 2 hour lesson on fly-casting and some flies, and he took a 45" musky the first 1/2 day he tried!

Feel free to ask for more info. It's a blast.

my second attempt at a northern pike color. The first one was with a stencil, it wasn't to my liking. it still needs to be clear coated. Some purple shading with a brown top and gold scaling.
