Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | Smokeys Muskie Shop on Pewaukee Lake is holding their Annual Mistake On The Lake Open House this Saturday, April 30th, from 8:57 AM to sometime after 3:17 PM! There will be manufacturer reps, tackle & equipment specials, food, dancing girls (if you bring your own!), and live music ( John Laimon will be humming a combination of his favorite country western and polka-rap hits!)! Can it be any better than this! OMG! Come and find the last minute, before the muskie season opens, "secret bait" that will make you even more of a super star muskie fishing god than everyone says that you are. Smokey's is offering a "real deal" of buy three Slammers and get your choice of one Slammer baits for free, from a seperate storage box including asssorted custom colored 6", 7"& 8" Crasnkbaits, and Dropbelly Gliders while they last.

Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | I'll be there as the pier is suppose to go in weather permitting. I've had the chance to hear some of the great John tunes over the last couple of openers like: Rap Rap Rap all muskie fisherman love Rap! and You ain't rapping unless your fishing musky's! or his other favorite Opening Day Rap! It's amazing he sings them all from heart without sheet music. I'll be going, is there going to be beer? Netman

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | The three....make it four main elements for life all will be in sufficient quantities: air to breathe; baits to buy; brats to eat; and beer to drink! Does it get any better? As I understand it, all proceeds from food and drink are going to be donated to the Milwaukee Chapter of Muskies Inc. Early on Saturday, the MI Chapter is netting last year's fingerlings from their rearing pond for stocking into Pewaukee Lake. Good Luck! Thank you Muskies Inc. as you are among the main reasons that Pewaukee Lake has been such a consistant producer of muskies over the decades! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 4/28/2011 7:19 AM

Posts: 287 Location: Oconomowoc, WI | Looks like you'll be able to see Pewaukee Lake stocking effort in action if you make it to Smokey's by late morning. About a dozen Milwaukee chapter members are collecting the 12-20" fingerings from the Amron pond at 7am. After they're loaded on to the truck, they'll be brought to the Muskie Shop launch to be distributed via a couple of Smokey's pontoons and a DNR boat. This is what it's all about! Pewaukee is already a great fishery, but with stocking efforts and conservation, it could be even better for the next generation! I hope to see many of you out there!

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I will be gathering up the muskies in the pond with fellow Milwaukee Chapter members and bringing them to Smokeys to be tagged and released into Pewaukee Lake. We should be at the lake by 9am if everything goes easy with the pond fish removal. We hope to have about 100 muskies to put into Pewaukee Lake in various spots. I will be hanging around the muskie shop showing off some of the new double secret baits I was sent from Monster Lures Co. I can't wait to get these chewed up. See everyone Saturday. Stop by Smokeys Muskie Shop for some Pre Opener Hype and $2.00 Miller High Lifes. Yes thats rite. Two bucks a beer............... :)~

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | The Muskies Inc. crew were ecstatic with the results from their pond neeting. They had put 102 fingerlings into the pond last fall. They neted out 98 today that were fin clipped and deposited into Pewaukee Lake! It is another good day for the lake, the fisheree, and the fishermen! Thanks to John Laimon and the crew at Smokey's Muskie Shop for the $100 donation to Muskies Inc.'s stocking efforts resulting from their sales of food and drink at today's annual gala, "Mistake on the Lake Open House"! You guys are the best! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 4/30/2011 5:19 PM
