I have a 135 Opti powering a 618vs Ranger. Current prop is a Trophy Plus 21p 4 blade. I have two things I'd like to improve. Consider me completely prop retarded please.

1. Motor doesn't troll down very well, I don't troll an excessive amount but would like to get it under 3mph, which I can't do unless I'm going into some wind.

2. I've heard from a few guys I should be getting better top end, I have hit 50mph on the gps like twice, by myself and lightly loaded/low on gas. I've been told I should be able to get 54ish? Smartcraft has me about 5550-5600 and I'm hitting the rev limiter and have to trim it back down a little.

Thoughts or suggestions from any of the prop pro's out there? I am not overly concerned with hole shot. Is there a prop that might provide both improvements, or just one or the other?

If you are hitting the rev limiter, you need a 23. Four are slower than three...if it's speed you want and the boat has reasonable lift, a Tempest might be in order. Your hole shot will suffer, but not horribly, I'd bet. Is the Trophy a small or large hub?
