Has anybody ever trolled after dark? Was thinking of giving it a try. I was also wondering what you would change compared to daytime. If i had to guess at some, I would say slow down, bigger baits with rattles and maybe a bit shallower and higher in the water column. Anything else that I may be missing?

Make double dog sure you know the water, figure out a route during the day. Also keep a spotlight handy to warn the dummies that feel the need for speed at night. Keep in mind that many fish head shallower as it gets dark. We troll some islands on a lake here for rockfish + an occasional musky shows up...many fish are caught SLOW + on topwater/shallow baits. LISTEN for feeding fish also; one can stop + cast or troll in + around the area for good results...if that doesn't work, which it should, try trolling breaklines on large flats.[::)]
