Do you guys have suggestions for what to use when a bait gets a tooth puncture in the paint?

Looking for something I can put on wood baits (especially balsa) so they don't swell up and crack the paint after they've caught a few fish.

Something that you could do on the water and have it dry in an hour would be nice, but I would be more concerned with the long term durability. If the epoxy had to set over night that would be fine too.

I thought about envirotec but don't know a lot about how user friendly that is or how long it takes to cure.

I figured the guys in the basement baits section would have the answer to this one!

Hi there, never tried this but if I had to try something I would use super glue that has the little brush in the bottle. I'm sure once it was dry it would do the trick. I don't think it would take very long to dry when its warm out. If you try it, post the results so we know if it worked or not. Good luck. Ken

Seems like I've heard about that before. Is it durable enough to not chip off? That would work well for on the water repairs since it would dry pretty fast.

+1 to what Paul said. Been doing that for years on my topwater baits.

I use Ace 2-part 5 minute epoxy. It's been holding up great. I have used this on wood baits, and plastic-Jakes/Believers. These baits should hold up for a lifetime, with a periodic application.

For a quick repair on the water, I agree with Paul also. For an overnight repair and something that will stay, I use PC7
