Subject: GPS for bow

I'm looking to replace the old depth finder on the front of my boat. I am using the transducer off of the minn kota power drive V2. I would like to replace that unit with a Humminbird 597CI HD DI combo, if I do that, I will have to mount the Humminbird transducer to transom of the boat. that is where I think I will have a problem. I currently have a Lowrance LCX27C gps on my console and that transducer is located on the transom. Will the two transducers interfere with one another? If so, can someone recommend a different GPS that can be hooked up to the minn kota power drive V2 internal transducer? Looking to spend between $600 and $700.

Thanks for your help!

If it's a US2 I would go with a HDS 5 on the Minn Kota.

Thanks Shaley

After spending an hour trying to get through to lowrance and humminbird customer service on my question on transducer interference and a trip to cabelas with no help. I will be going with the lowrance HD 5 hooked up to the minn kota seems to be the easiest route without spending a bunch of money trying to network everything together. Would like to pm you sometime to see if you might help a fellow Iowan out on Musky fishing Clear Lake and Okoboji Lakes. I mainly fish Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes for Musky, with the fuel prices, I'm thinking about making a couple trips up that way this year.

Thanks again!
