I have a Shimano Corvalus reel that has a broken level wind (line piles up on one side). What parts will need to be replaced? Just the worm gear or are there others that are necessary? Thanks for the help

You'll need to replace the worm gear and the pawl. In a pinch you can flip the pawl around and it will usually work for a while, but for $2.99 you might just as well replace it. I did have one reel that had that problem, where all I needed to do was clean both, but I suspect that the (now working again) pawl isn't long for this world.

Use to own and use a bunch of Corvallus reels. Pretty decent reel for cheap. Never needed a new worm gear, but had to change the pawl a few times. And in a pinch would just put an extra spacer on top of the pawl to "force" the pawl down in the gear further so it would bite.
