I was extremely disappointed in the last two years not seeing Okuma booth at the MN Muskie Expo, along with not seeing any dealers too... Will Okuma finally have a booth and if not, will there be more Okuma dealers there this year??? If not, then I guess I will have to go with the online purchases...

I was ready to drop $$$ on Red Isis, but never had the opportunity... And now, Im in need for two new reels... and pretty much have narrowed my choices down to the new Okuma Isis, Shimano Calcutta 400TE, and Daiwa Saltist 20HA...

Daiwa Saltist will be the last resort as I already have 30TH and dont need another high-speed reel... I am looking for reels with 5.1:1 gears or close to that to replace two Abu Garcia 6600's that has treated me well for last 5 years, I dont want to purchase another Abu... Which is why Im looking closely at 400TE and Isis, but heres the downfall... I will be able to purchase either 2 Isis or 1 400TE... Dilemma Dilemma Dilemma!!!

Thanks!!!

Okuma doesn't attend many shows in the Midwest. I have seen them at the Madison Sport Fishing Expo and happily, yesterday at the Capital City MI Muskie School, but those were factory displays and were not offering anything for sale.

I tried out the newly engineered Isis reels, and was impressed with how smooth they are. I like the new thumb bar and handle, too. They had a few salties there too, for the guys interested in throwing lures that weigh several tons.

Sworrall... Any chance you could bring an Isis and a Cedros with you to the MN Muskie Expo??? I sure would love to get a feel for both reels before purchasing either one or both...

Not sure if you can get one but I love my Red Isis reel. See them now and again on eBay but not very often anymore.

Which one of the styles are you using. I see there is a listing for Okuma Red Isis Ri-250T series and then also 250p series.

This is all I could find.
