Just wondering what other Musky fishermen thought of this rod overall.can it handle casting mag dawgs or is it mainly a bucktail rod.can you use it to throw everything?i also was wondering if the heavy fast action of it is comparible to an 8' shimano compre heavy fast action because I hate how flexible it is.I have a premeire 8'6" and like the action of it but I want a 9'.

This is a great overall rod, throws mag dawgs very easily, you can throw most lures without an issue, very versatile. the only thing I did was to extend the butt handle 6". I always felt that St. Croix's handles were on the shorter side for my preference. You will not be disappointed.
