anyone here belong to dairymen's or gone with member to fish either lake for musky or bass? any info appreciated...especially on big crooked.

there was a study conducted on the size avg / growth rates on both these lakes a few yrs back. I am thinking I saw the data published in an issue of MHunter...I'll try to track down the issue month/year and let you know. I know one had a fairly high population density I think it was Wolf, and small size avg....like 34". and Big Crooked if I remember right had less fish but larger avg...go figure....

this thesis uses the data from the earlier Dairymen's studies to compare to some other lakes. see particularly Chapter 2.
as Brad said, higher density/lower size in Wolf vs lower density/higher size in BC. the study cited above points out a number of other correlating factors, not the least of which is forage base.
