Looks nice, I like the black & gold. I've made quite a few topwaters like this.

The only thing is, if you used maple, I hope you didn't try to add any extra weight. A couple of the first topwaters I made were slightly too heavy (for my liking anyways) and wanted to dive a bit.

I like mine to pop and swoosh like a weagle, IMO the viper is too heavy and will tend to dive a bit (like my first baits). Great job!

I know you're relatively new on here and it's always fun to see the progression. I think I can remember your first dive and rise jerk bait you posted or something. Welcome to the addiction!
